Established in 1960, St. Louis Center is a nonprofit residential community that offers a range of leaning opportunities to students who suffer from developmental disabilities. The community is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. St. Louis Center organizes several social and formal events, such as auctions, golf outings and dinners. Additionally, the center accepts donations in various forms, as well as provides online information about several developmental disabilities. St. Louis Center offers online access to the Web sites of several mental health centers and organizations. The center is spread over an area of more than 180 acres site, including administrative offices, dining and residential facilities, a gymnasium and chapel.
