Cello-Pack Corporation, which received a superior ranking from the American Institute of Baking, is a provider of flexible packaging solutions. The company began as a produce-bag manufacturer more than 50 years ago. In 1989, it was sold to Gioia Management, a privately held holding company. Cello-Pack then moved to a modern, 60,000-square-foot facility in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Shortly after, Cello-Pack Corporation expanded its operations by purchasing Lustreprint, a converter based in Buffalo, N.Y. The purchases of PCMC Infiniti grew the company s capabilities to be able to handle gearless drive. In 2002, the addition of the RO-AN high-speed bag machine allowed the company to supply zipper, reclosable bags to the consumables industry. A 10-color flexographic unit was added to handle Cello-Pack Corporation s perishable food products. In 2004, Cello-Pack Corporation completed the construction of a temperature-controlled, 17,000-square-foot warehouse for raw and finished goods.
