General Info

We are a pre-k through fifth grade public elementary school for both students who live in our zone and a magnet school and are a school of choice for student all over Hamilton County. We are a downtown work-site magnet school located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga near the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. As an International Baccalaureate Candidate School, we offer a rigorous curriculum that develops the whole child: physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically. We nurture the students desire to learn through inquiry based lessons. The International Baccalaureate Program is a national accreditation which requires our teachers and staff members to attain various levels of training and professional development. The school is named for Tennessee State Representative Dr. Tommie F. Brown (district 28).
