Dr. William J. Moss is a native Tennessean and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from David Lipscomb University with a BA in Biology and from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Dr. Moss received his specialty training at the Confederate Memorial Medical Center, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following his residency, Dr. Moss served as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in the U.S. Air Force. After Military service, Dr. Moss was in private practice in Columbia, Missouri and was on the teaching staff at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Since moving to Chattanooga, Dr. Moss has been in private practice and holds a position as Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. He served as Chairman of the Tennessee Section of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology for three years and on the Advisory Counsel for District VII of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Moss was the first gynecologist to do laser laparascopic surgery in Chattanooga and has major interest in laser surgery, operative laparascopic and pelvic support surgery.
