What a great place for kids to blossom. As a teacher myself, the greatest testimony to a school is when the teachers feel comfortable enough to send their own children there. This is the case with Devonshire Preschool.



After a dejecting experience at another preschool, where I was told my son was the worst they had ever seen, I went in search of a fresh environment. My main goal was to put him somewhere positive, where kids did not need to fit into a perfect little box. I researched, visited, and found Devonshire Preschool. I did find some negative reviews online, so I asked some of the parents as they were coming and going. Everyone I spoke to raved about the school, so I asked Miss Lorell, the owner about the negative reviews directly. She openly talked to me, without reservation, and assuaged my concerns. This was a very difficult time for me since our prior experience had been so negative, so I asked her with desperation if she thought I was making the right choice, to which she replied, "I can't answer that because I don't love your son yet." This statement solidified to me that this was the right place. Her answer was full of love for my child whom she had not yet met. She has since demonstrated her love for children and respect for their diversity by reminding all of us that our greatest geniuses have always bucked the system. In my experience, the teachers focus on the positive attributes of the children, and emphasize the good news of the day, before sharing any negatives. Every staff member knows all the children, and they are all friendly, inviting and genuinely interested in the well-being of each and every student. Devonshire preschool has been a blessing to our family.

My child began attending Devonshire Preschool and Infant care at the age of 3 months, he has ALWAYS been happy to attend. The attention given to him as an infant was loving, caring and nurturing and has continued through as he approaches 4 years. The staff members are very attentive and loving. The Facilities Director has made Devonshire Preschool a family environment.

I have both of my daughters here. They both started when they were 6 weeks old. They are so good with the children. I would recoment this daycare to anyone. It is more like a school for my girls than it is a daycare. They are learning something new every day.
