I called this company to help me plan a trip to China with a friend of mine. We had 3 major problems.First, the cost of the trip was too high by a good deal. Steve, our agent, planned a trip that was about $10,000. We thought this was much too high (and exceeded the budget we gave him of $7,000), so put a trip together piecemeal ourselves. We put the exact same trip together for $6,800 (about $3,000 less). Additionally, while he was generally very nice, Steve also seemed occasionally miffed by what I thought were pretty reasonable requests, such as asking what the costs of excursions he planned for us were and how going to X city rather than Y city would change the price of the trip. Ultimately, we told him if he could bring the cost down to $7,000 we would book with him, but he couldn't, so we parted ways. He was very gracious about the whole thing.Second, after we parted ways, I received an incredibly rude email from one of Steve's colleagues, Bryan, who told me I was crazy and foolish for booking a trip without them. I explained the cost situation to Bryan, and then he again responded very rudely and, just pettily. For example, at one point he accused me of "talking behind Steve's back," (even though he was the one who emailed me to talk about the situation, and I had already told Steve the exact same thing. The entire thing was very childish and unprofessional. Finally, Bryan told me to call the founder of the agency, Jane, because it was possible she was going to cancel the nonrefundable plane tickets that we had already purchased through Steve. I called, and she said she was not going to do anything like that. She then proceeded to give me false and/or misleading information about the trip (such as saying we needed certain things for a Chinese visa that didn't we actually need). She was very nice, but I am highly frustrated that I was lured into the conversation under the false pretense that there was a problem with out plane ticket, and I believe she was telling me those things to try to get me to change my mind and book the trip with them.

This travel agency exceeded my expectations. They took personal interest in planning our trip and provided very low rates. I would recommend them for sure.
