  As an undergraduate, Dr. Powers double-majored in Biology and English, graduating with honors from Wellesley College. After earning her M.D. at UVA, she completed a two year surgical internship and a four year Otolaryngology residency program at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Powers has maintained board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology since 2002.
