- Dental ExaminationSymptoms of “TMJ” can range from head and neck aches to popping and clicking when you open and close your mouth. Treatments can range from occlusal splints, night guards, bite adjustments and muscle-relaxing medications, depending on the nature and longevity of the problem. A thorough dental exam may reveal the cause of the symptoms. Often physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and orthodontists are used in conjunction with our treatment plans. It is important to keep an open mind in treating the varied range of symptoms for this complex disorder.
