Better Living has been supplying building materials and millwork in central Virginia since 1893. In 1960, Better Living opened a furniture division as a local source for home furnishings and accessories. The company operates out of three locations. In addition to providing building materials and millwork, Better Living provides manufactured wall panels and trusses. Better Living operates the largest delivery system in central Virginia. As a general contractor, Better Living has built many buildings, schools, churches and homes. Better Living was the general contractor for the construction of Peabody Hall at the University of Virginia. The company also developed residential subdivisions in the Charlottesville, Va., area, including Camelot, Foxbrook, Greenlea, Orchard Acres, Ruckersville Heights, and Quinque Forest. The company is headquartered in Charlottesville.
