There are very few among us who are in the enviable position of living out their childhood dream. For Dr. Van Gurp, this is exactly what he is doing. At age of 12, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. In following this dream, his skill and genuine concern for his patients have earned him professional recognition and continued praise from clients. Dr. Van Gurp is a graduate of The University of North Carolina Dental School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A Dean’s List student while attending Dental School, Dr. Van Gurp was awarded membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Fraternity − one of the highest awards given in dentistry. He opened his private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1988 after completing his General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT.
