Established in 1935, Maola Milk & Ice Cream Company is a producer of a range of milk products. Located in Dunn, N.C., the company has its own farm and produces nearly 100,000 gallons of milk per day and sells 1.5 million gallons of ice cream annually. Its milk and ice cream products are distributed throughout North Carolina and in parts of South Carolina and Virginia. Its products include fat-free milk, 1-percent lowfat milk, 2-percent reduced fat milk, buttermilk, flavored milk such as strawberry milk, vanilla milk, double chocolate milk and a variety of ice creams. Additionally, the company produces specialty products such as orange juice, vanilla ice cream sandwiches, strawberry ice cream sandwiches, nutty sundae cones and turbo tubes.
