John M. Herring is an attorney with the law firm of Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, located in Charlotte, N.C. His practice areas include: corporate; mergers and acquisitions; securities; banking and capital markets; venture capital and private equity. He has experience representing financial institutions and other lenders in complex financing transactions, with a focus on structuring, negotiating and documenting senior and mezzanine debt and preferred stock investments in the context of leveraged acquisitions and on intercreditor issues among all layers of capital structures. He also has a practice in representing investment funds in private equity, venture capital and mezzanine financings, as well as in the area of mergers and acquisitions. He received his B.S. from the University of North Carolina in 1991 and his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina Law School in 1994. John was admitted in North Carolina in 1994.
