Founded in 1962, the Eaton Intermediate School District is headquartered in Charlotte, Mich. The district provides organizational and state funding services to various school districts, including Oneida Strange School District, Island City Academy, and Charlotte, East Rapid, Grand Ledge, Maple Valley and Potterville public schools in Minnesota. In addition, it serves the regions of Eaton, Clinton, Gratiot and Shiawassee counties. The district s career education and employment services department provides a variety of educational, occupational and employment training programs to area high school students, graduates and adults. It also operates its own facilities and contracts with other agencies, such as area businesses, Lansing Community College, and other educational institutions. The Eaton Intermediate School District also provides special education services, including assistive technology, autism and transition services.
