Founded in 1970, KVC Behavioral HealthCare is a private, nonprofit organization that provides medical and behavioral health care, social services and education to children and families. The organization serves more than 18,000 children and families each day. Headquartered in Olathe, Kan., it operates throughout West Virginia, Missouri and Kansas. Its services include psychiatric treatment for children and adolescents, foster care, case management, adoption and outpatient behavioral health care. KVC Behavioral HealthCare operates a medical clinic, psychiatric hospital and residential treatment facility. The organization also offers training and support to resource and adoptive families, residential child care workers, social workers and professionals. It is accredited by the Joint Commission.
