Entering Sugar Bake Shop is like going back to my childhood and walking into my grandmother's kitchen.I was greeted with a cheerful "Hello!" "How are you doing?" The person speaking was rolling pastry dough. He said, "Hold on. I'll be with you in a sec." He turned to open the large oven door. The trays he removed were filled with the most beautiful gingerbread cookies. That aroma! I wanted all of them.He put them down to cool, looked directly at me and asked what I would like. He pointed to the sugar cookies, creative tarts, beautiful pies, cupcakes, and cakes. I wanted everything.I asked about the gingerbread cookies. He was making them for a special order. I asked if I could by chance sample one. He smiled and said, "Sure."I ate one and drooled for more. I placed my own special order for two dozen made from scratch gingerbread cookies. I will be there to eat them the minute he takes them out of the oven.
