- DivorceSelf-determination promotes amicable relationships and agreeable terms and helps parties arrive at creative resolutions to issues concerning children and finances. Divorce mediation does not result in a win or lose outcome. It requires each party to consider the position of the other party and a willingness to compromise in order to avoid litigation, and the expense and trauma to the family that results from litigation.
- Child SupportThere are many issues concerning children, which must be addressed throughout the divorce process, such as: child support, custody, and parenting schedules. A certified Guardian Ad Litem is equipped to help. Nancy represents children whose parents are in legal conflict as their Guardian Ad Litem. She also has Guardians appointed to represent her clients' children when it is warranted.

- Spousal SupportFiling an action in Family Court is the only way to obtain a divorce. The marriage ends only when a judge signs a Final Order of Divorce. Before such a final order is entered, property and debts, custody and parenting schedules of children, child support and/or alimony must be divided by agreement or by decision of the Court if appropriate. With the assistance of professionals these tasks are not necessarily overwhelming. It is not necessary to get your spouse’s consent to get a divorce. If either of you can properly state a legal ground for divorce in a written complaint, you may file an action to initiate the divorce process.
- AnnulmentIf your marriage was not valid from its start you may secure an annulment (not to be confused with a religious annulment). In this situation you are asking for a finding that your marriage never happened.
