Founded in 1987, as Hoffman Lester Associates, HLA is a consulting firm that offers a range general construction services. It provides surveying, wetland delineation, civil engineering, land planning and architectural services to clients throughout the Southeast. Headquartered in Charleston, S.C., the firm works closely with local, state and federal government and regulatory agencies, economic developers and chambers of commerce. Its landscape architecture services include streetscape and sustainable design, brownfield development, zoning and annexation, wetland consulting and resource management services. The firm employs more than 30 licensed professional land surveyors, engineers and landscape architects.
