Dr. Megan Baker is a high risk breast cancer specialist who comes to Mt. Pleasant Breast Specialists after 10 years as medical director of Comprehensive Breast Care at Hollings Cancer Center. Dr. Baker leads a team of experienced nurses and staff who are passionate about women’s health, and who understand the particular concerns and sensitivities related to cancers of the breast, particularly high risk breast cancer. Dr. Baker is a graduate of Columbia University, and earned her medical degree at Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, with additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery at Case Western Reserve University. She treats the full range of breast cancers, with particular expertise in high risk breast cancer, prophylactic mastectomy and familial breast ovarian syndrome.
