American Public Education, also known as APEI, is an online provider of higher education for military and public service communities in West Virginia. The company s wholly owned subsidiary, American Public University System, includes American Military University and American Public University. The system offers a range of academic programs in the areas of homeland security, military studies, business administration, public health, and liberal arts. It also provides emergency and disaster management programs to first responders. The system serves more than 30,000 part-time students. American Public University System over 70 degree and nearly 45 certificate programs. American Public Education organizes seminars, webcasts and presentations.
