  Thank you for the tour of your Residence Artists, Inc. headquarters in Chardon. It was a pleasure to meet your son Ray, and Jessica and Kara literally at the "front desk" and more members of your cast of residence artists and craftsmen hard at work in the many shop areas. The family history articles and photos, pictures of past project work, interspersed with your family's many sports activities and trophies made a quite spectacular display... It was great to see first-hand the table and cabinets. I know they will be wonderful addition to my kitchen! I liked the white painted cabinetry sample under the light in the shop much better than the 'Extra White' selection that I had given to you... Thank you for having Bill T. purchase the sink and faucet and contacting Bloom Brothers re delivery of the appliances.

  Thank you each and every one of you for contributing your considerable talents, expertise and fine skills to this project of kitchen, bathroom and more! I am so impressed with this beautiful kitchen -at last with its Beacon Oak wood table and countertops and a very attractive and functional bathroom upstairs! It was an amazing experience to witness the transformations of both kitchen and bathroom into these well-crafted and functional spaces.

  Subcontractors In addition to the full-time employees, Residence Artists has teamed with the finest subcontractors and trades in the area in order to take a job from start to finish. Many of our subcontractors work almost exclusively with RA. This allows us to avoid competing with other general contractors for the subcontractor’s services, and enables them to offer immediate service assistance to RA’s customers. Whether it is roofing, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, tile, or any other construction related service, RA has access to the very best that Cleveland can offer. Unlike many general contractors, an RA employee is sent with subcontractors to oversee each task and ensure a satisfying completion.

  Residence Artists, Inc. was founded in 1973 and is now owned/operated by Keith and his family, with Keith being the sole owner and president since 1996. As a 1972 Kent State University graduate, Keith worked his way through college painting and hanging drywall in the evenings, on weekends, and during summer breaks. He then went to Max Hayes Wallpaper Trade School and after completing the course, hired the retired wallpaper teacher to help train a crew. They spent 6 years working together in the field and laying the foundation for the Residence Artists of the future. To this day, the painting and wallpapering division of RA remains one of Keith’s passions. In 1981, construction services were added when Keith assembled a group of carpenters to finish a home he was painting because the customer’s original contractor “let him down.” Word spread quickly that RA was now coordinating all facets of general contracting including: home building, remodeling, and service & maintenance work. Through Keith setting high standards of excellence, fostering a customer service driven attitude, and working with talented tradesmen and artists, the “RA family” grew into Northeast Ohio’s premier general contracting company, Residence Artists, Inc. Keith has always valued family and now shares the business with two of his sons. Visit the RA office and you will see pictures of the whole family: Keith’s wife, Diane, their 4 children, and 12 grandchildren

  Stewart has worked at Residence Artists since the early 90’s. He learned the business from the ground up, starting as a laborer while still in high school. He was promoted to Warehouse Manager after high school and held the position through college. Stewart graduated from John Carroll University Business School with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Logistics. In 2006, Stew became Vice-President of RA and now shares ownership of the business with his father and brother, Ray. Stew is directly involved each day with customer projects including home remodeling, new home construction, maintenance work, etc. He is blessed with a beautiful wife and three precious daughters.

  It is wonderful to have people working on my home who are invested in making it the place I want it to be.   Residence Artists can fulfill all your interior and exterior painting needs. We employ specialized technicians that can color match your existing paints and stains or faux paint walls to look like stone. From shutters, shingles, and siding, to ceilings, murals, and furniture – your imagination is the only limit.
• Carpentry
  Facility Residence Artists’ 12,000-square foot warehouse facility adjacent to the Chardon office is fully equipped with two paint spray booths and a spacious carpentry shop. This enables us to perform fine finishes in a controlled environment without inconveniencing our customers. The shop is regularly utilized for projects such as restoring furniture, back priming and applying a first coat of paint to redwood or cedar siding prior to installation, and painting shutters during the winter months.
