The Munson Fire Department provides fire protection, prevention and safety services to residents of Geauga County, Ohio. It consists of volunteer and part- and full-time employees. The fire department maintains a fleet of more than 10 vehicles. The Munson Fire Department also offers emergency medical and paramedical services. It is responsible for minimizing loss from fires, hazardous materials incidents and natural disasters. The Munson Fire Department specializes in coordinating plans for handling large-scale disasters and emergency incidents in collaboration with city authorities. Additionally, it has contractual mutual aid agreements with the Chardon Fire Department, Chesterland Fire Department and Hambden Fire Department for providing emergency response services.
