General Info

I wanted to be a physician assistant for a number of reasons. It is an extremely rewarding profession, where you are able to help people on a daily basis. Medicine is also very appealing to me because it is always changing. This allows you to continue to learn and challenge yourself throughout the entirety of your career. I think communication is key to patient care. Obtaining a good patient history and really listening to what is going on with the patient will help to guide your management. I believe that it is equally important that the patient understands their diagnosis and treatment plan at the end of the visit. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking and cooking. Staying active is very important to me, and I exercise regularly.
