Physician-scientist faculty member Dr. Gaorav Gupta joined us in 2015 from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He splits his time between treating patients in the clinic and conducting research in the laboratory. Dr. Gupta studies the molecular underpinings of breast cancer, and how this information might be used to help “personalize” treatment and predict treatment outcome. He is the first or co-author of more than 20 publications related to his research and clinical interests. Dr. Gupta has received numerous research awards, including a prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute undergraduate summer fellowship, Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program pre- and postdoctoral awards, and a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for Medical Scientists.
