Dr. Colette Shen specializes in the treatment of brain tumors, head and neck cancer, and pediatric cancer. Her research interests include developing better methods to evaluate and treat primary and metastatic brain tumors, as well as the use of novel radiopharmaceuticals for cancer therapy. She is the first or co-author of 9 peer-reviewed publications and 2 book chapters associated with her graduate work in biomedical engineering on mechanisms of tumor blood vessel formation and the metastasis process. She is also the first author of 5 additional publications and 4 book chapters on her clinical interests in brain, head and neck, and pediatric tumors. Dr. Shen’s academic and research achievements earned her several high profile scholarships and awards, including a US Presidential Scholarship, induction into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, John Harvard and Harvard College Scholarships,a Paul and Daisy Soros Foundation Graduate Fellowship, and a prestigious National Institutes of Health Ruth Kirschstein Predoctoral NRSA MD/PhD Fellowship.
