Hi-Lo Industries, a Kansas corporation, was incorporated in 1976 as Hi-Lo Table Manufacturing. The office and main plant facility are located in Chanute, Kan. The company manufactures furniture and cabinets, primarily for the recreational vehicle industry. One of the company's early products is a table that can be lowered to a 16-and-a-half-inch coffee table (with leaves down) or raised to a 27-inch height to be used for dining, entraining, card playing or paper work. The company's other products include wood cabinets, upholstered chairs and couches, draperies, bedding, mattresses and dining chairs for recreational vehicles and custom-crafted cabinet door fronts and wood cabinets sold for installation in single-family homes. The company has a full line of equipment designed and used to process raw lumber and other related forest products and soft goods into its various manufactured products. Hi-Lo employees more than 300 people.
