GeoTrans was founded in 1979 as a firm specializing in groundwater flow and transport modeling. It utilized these skills to provide services at some of the most complex environmental sites across the United States. The company has grown to meet the comprehensive environmental needs of clients. GeoTrans combines technical excellence and practical experience investigating and re-mediates environmental sites. It meets customer's needs in areas such as developing sustainable businesses, helping deal with environmental liabilities and comprehensive information management services. In 1988, GeoTrans became part of Tetra Tech, a publicly-held engineering and consulting company. The parent firm provides services in three key areas: resource management, infrastructure and communications.
