The History of Venezias It all started when Frank and Clara Montanile moved to New York City from Italy in the late 60's. There they met, fell in love, married & had a baby boy named Domenick (who...little did they know...would someday follow in his father's footsteps and grow up to become a Master Pizza Maker). In search of some clean air and a better place to raise a family, they found themselves in Albuquerque, New Mexico...Rio Rancho to be exact. In 1978, they opened Venezia's, a full-service Italian restaurant. Then in 1995, after their son Domenick & their daughter Linda moved to Tempe, Arizona to attend college at Arizona State, Frank & Clara sold the landmark they'd created in New Mexico and moved to Arizona to be closer to their children. In 1998, Domenick graduated from college and married the love of his life, Jaime. Together they are proud to carry on the family tradition of making great pizza, and are excited to share with you the secret family recipes that have been with the Montanile family for generations.
