  All discussions and tentative agreements are strictly confidential in a private divorce mediation. This makes it safe to propose different solutions for consideration. This process can lead to new solutions neither party had previously considered.

  Ms. Bartee has spent all of her legal career advocating for parents and children in the Family and Juvenile Courts. As a family law attorney she has experience in all manner of cases involving custody of children, parenting time, child support and division of assets and liabilities. All issues surrounding divorce and custody of children are difficult. As an advisor and advocate, Ms. Bartee's goal is to direct her clients towards the best possible resolution. Ideally, that resolution can be reached without litigation, keeping the parties in control of their future rather than having that decision placed upon them by a Court. If mediation is unsuccessful and litigation is necessary, Ms. Bartee is an experienced litigator and will zealously advocate for her clients in Court.
• Child Custody and Visitation
  In Family Court, child custody has been re-defined as Legal Decision Making. Legal Decision Making and Parenting Time are the most important issues any parent will fact when involved in the Family Court. Ms. Bartee is an experienced attorney who has represented mothers, fathers and grandparents to protect the right of children to be raised in a healthy, positive environment where they can thrive and mature.
• Adoption
• Premarital Agreement
  When you marry you may not foresee the potential problems that can lead to divorce. We expect the unexpected and draft premarital agreements that protect both spouses’ interests. Having an agreement in place can alleviate some of the stress should you ever divorce.
• Guardianship
  Ms. Bartee understands the unique concerns that come with addressing the guardianship needs of minors and recognizes the emotional difficulties that can accompany assigning a minor a guardian. Ms. Bartee will help guide you through this process while working to protect the rights of the child involved.
• Spousal Support
  Child support and Spousal Maintenance payments remain the same unless and until the court modifies the child support order. If either party experiences a significant change in circumstances, we can guide you through the proper legal procedures to modify child support and spousal maintenance payments accordingly.
• Legal Separation
  Ms. Bartee stands by you throughout your Dissolution or Legal Separation. We obtain the best possible results in court or at the negotiation table, and have extensive experience handling issues such as the fair distribution of assets, the division of a marital home, child support payments and child custody rights.
