Communications Data Group, also known as CDG, is one of the leading telecommunications solutions sources with more than 30 years of experience in consumer and carrier access billing, service provisioning, customer care and operation support. Established in 1970 as a department within the Bank of Illinois, the organization initially devoted itself to two primary functions, including data processing for the bank and subscriber bill processing for small, independent telephone companies. When the Bank of Illinois was incorporated in 1985 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank, the focus expanded to include the new cellular billing market. CDG serves more than 200 telecommunications companies throughout the United States. Located in Champaign, Ill., Communications Data Group is a privately owned company that employs nearly 150 people.
