Problems with male European camp staff living on site and hired as sports counselors, life guards, maintenance workers, day care workers. Very overworked, underpaid, living in substandard housing makes for very disgruntled summer European staff. Personally this is my opinion, but I would not trust my or anyone's children to a cheap labor pool brought in from Europe on summer visas. Screening of European employees is really not thorough enough to ensure safety of campers. Many documented problems with this Visa exchange program used by Camp America Chalfont PA. Check out online..... J-1 Visa Program abuse. Be an informed parent.

As a parent of a child with special needs all I can say is Camp America without a doubt bent over backwards to make my child's camp experience amazing! This camp has so much to offer children of all ages and my little camper had an amazing summer. Another perk that can't be under-sold is the daily post of pictures. As a working mom it has been the highlight of my day to log on and look at over 200 pictures a day. This is so special to be able to catch a glimpse into a day in the life of a camper at Camp America, I only wish I was a child again so I could go to Camp America!

I have been apart of camp america my entire life. I went there as a camper and I have worked there for over 10 years. I will say that I could not find a nicer place to send any child. The owners really make you feel like you are apart of their family. They will bend over backwards for anyone. When it comes to the care of your children I would turn to camp america day camp as the top choice for me. Every year I come back I see all the same familiar faces and some new ones. This just shows that camp america is where people come for life and feel everything I am trying to explain.
When your children rate their camp day on a scale of one to ten as an ?eleven?, that speaks volumes to me as a parent. My children have been campers at Camp America for the last 6 years. The facility, activities and staff are exceptional, and the environment could not be any more nurturing. My experiences there have only reinforced my feeling that each child at Camp America is treated as an individual, not as a number. Perhaps that is why there is never any doubt in my kid?s minds when asked what they would like to do next summer?..?What do you think mom, go back to Camp America!? A.M.
