The doctors and staff are the ultimate professionals who are able to care for your pet and help you understand what is happening with your pet simultaneously. They base their treatment on recent research on procedures and diagnoses focusing in on what is best for their pet clients and the pet parents. The doctors take the time to get to know you and your pet and will explain everything to you and answer all of your questions. The staff is friendly and the facilities are fantastic for a "small" local veterinary clinic. They are connected to many specialists in the region and will refer you when necessary. And, when the time comes, they are compassionate to your pet and you when you have to say good bye. Every visit, every interaction, the doctors and the staff exceed my expectations. I trust the doctors with my cats' care unequivocally.
At Caring Hands your pet will receive the care that you would want for any of your family members. I have been taking my pets (dogs and cats) there for 10 years and have consistently counted on knowledgeable and informed medical care as well as extraordinary personal attention and caring for each pet. In addition, Caring Hands Animal Hospital plays an integral part in the community and treats everyone like a neighbor, working with families to provide the best possible care in offering options with a family's budget in mind. I recently had a 9 year old cat who suddenly became deathly ill. Michelle Vitualli's expertise in feline care and her personal commitment saved my cat. When I brought him in for his recheck, he was fully recovered and Dr. Vitulli was as joyful as I was!
Specifically told them give ONLY DHLPP vaccine. Asked if they clearly understood. Answer was "yes". Took the dog in the back and proceeded to give FIVE medications and the shot, then billed me for it. Additionally, tried to upsell a bunch of overpriced, unneeded junk even AFTER "poisoning" my dog against my directions. Would NOT trust them with your animal, at ALL.
We weren't even a client and they got us in right away when my dog cut his paw. The doctor was efficient and knowledgable and the staff was so genuine and caring as we were seen. They showed both concern for my dog and for our feelings as the pet parent! We didn't know about the Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Bristow until that Sunday! Now we won't go any where else!
This vet practice does everything to the highest standard. Diagnoses are accurate, even the hard ones that other vets have missed. I was new to this area about six years ago and desperate when my sick dogs were not responding to another vet's Rx's after 2 visits. I then switched to Caring Hands, where we immediately got the correct diagnosis and Rx. Later they even got to the bottom of two other chronic problems. It has been like that ever since. My dogs are always handled w/ kindness there. Vets and staff soon know each dog's personality. They listen to your concerns, address all questions, and are very thorough. Every office visit gets a follow-up phone call and they keep up w/ specialist referrals too. When my sable sheltie had major complications from hip surgery, Dr Dillon even drove over to the referral surgeon's office herself w/ a medication she thought Beemer should have! That's the way they are-110% for every patient. I can't say enough good things about this practice
Had issues with over charging. I made an appointment for the weekend and was charged "emergency" fees when I thought that Saturday was a regular business day for them. Kept bringing my dog in to check on a rash and was charged office fee after office fee and for multiple tests and finally decided to change vets after it seemed they had no idea what they were doing. The other vet I visited diagnosed my pet on the spot and my pup is doing well. The staff is very nice but that doesn't mean much if you don't know what you're doing.
