General Info

I've been climbing trees professionally since 1969, when I was 13, more than 40 years ago. While I won't turn down trimming work, my focus is on tree removal. I have an odd skill set: BS degree in forestry, more than 30 years in logging, and more than 40 years as a tree climber. That plays out as an intuitive grasp of applied physics, which in turn enables me to put trees on the ground more quickly than most other tree guys. If time is money, well you do the math. I work mostly in central PA, but for the right tree or project, I'll go about anywhere. I've cut trees in 15 states so far.... I am a child of the late '60s/early '70s. An environmentalist who logs & cuts trees. My Quaker Faith leads me to treat people honestly and fairly. A pragmatic idealist if you can grasp that.

We offer 3 types of services: Tree removal near houses/camps/obstacles. We have a Bandit 1400 chipper, skidsteer loader and stump grinder. Logging focused on science-based forestry. We have a Bell feller-buncher, Valmet forwarder and a small log skidder. PA Outstanding logger in 1997 & 2004. Development of forest management plans. BS in Forest Science.
