Centralia Parks and Recreation is one of the departments that operates under the government of the city of Centralia, Wash., which also operates personnel, engineering, finance, police and fire departments. Centralia Parks and Recreation offers a variety of services and facilities for individuals and families. The department maintains parks and open spaces that cover an area of more than 240 acres. Its facilities include swimming and wading pools, baseball and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, picnic shelters and a multipurpose room. The department organizes sports activities that include softball, baseball, racquetball, soccer, tennis and volleyball tournaments for youths and adults. Centralia Parks and Recreation provides arts and crafts and swimming classes. The department organizes several events, such as summer festivals and track and field meets, as well as operates a holiday art club.
