Central City Community Schools is a school district providing various educational and extracurricular programs to more than 460 students in grades prekindergarten through 12. It serves Linn County, Iowa, and comprises three schools, elementary, middle and high schools. The school district uses Iowa Test of Educational Development to evaluate students in reading and mathematics. The curriculum includes all basic subjects, English, foreign languages, mathematics, science, social studies, arts and crafts, music, and physical education. The high school additionally provides college preparatory programs. The schools have fully equipped libraries, computer rooms and gymnasiums. The district offers various sport programs and extracurricular activities, such as field trips, interactive computer projects, and choir groups. The district also provides meals, and has parent-teacher associations in all its schools. It is located in Central City, Iowa.
