The Parks & Recreation Department is operated by the Town of Brookhaven and is located in Coram, N.Y. The department provides services for parks, ball fields, playgrounds, recreational and sports programs and community centers, beaches and pools, docks and marinas and boat launching ramps. Its sports activities include baseball, soccer and softball. It operates various parks, including Bartlett, Centereach, Jomarr, Kettle Hole, Longhorn, Gary Adler, Minrol, Miramar Beach Bay Breeze, Nevel, Oxhead Road, Pamela Lane, Pembrook, Peppermint, Sequoia and Strathmore parks. Its Forge River has fishing piers, marina and launching ramp. Its parks have playgrounds and picnic areas.
