Located in Cedartown, Ga., the Polk School District operates several elementary, middle and high schools. The district provides educational services to more than 6,900 students. It serves students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district s schools provide special education programs for students with learning disabilities. Its schools offer the English Language Learners program, as well as classes in English, math, social studies, physical science, economics, business education and language arts. The district s schools libraries and media centers include a variety of books, magazines and periodicals. Its schools also provide guidance counseling services and several sports activities, such as football, baseball, golf, soccer, cross-country, and track and field. The district s schools offer membership opportunities in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA).
