Ernie (Handyman Plus) built a deck for me approximately 5 years ago using what he called "only the best materials". today my deck is uneven, the stairs are falling down, and the bannisters are warping and deteriorating. At one point my deck actually had a dip in the middle of it and Ernie came out and "fixed" the deck. Today my $5,000 deck is a complete waste. The wooden supports that hold my deck up are sitting on nothing but a 1x1 paver stone. My deck sits approximately 5 feet high. I can actually go over to one of the supports and move it freely without any problems. When asked why this is the method used by his crew to build my deck, Ernie replied "that's just how we do it". DO NOT USE HANDYMAN PLUS!
