It deals in homicide, assault, terrorist threat, kidnapping, criminal restraint, false imprisonment, sexual assault, lewdness, criminal mischief, burglary, harassment and stalking matters. The department s patrol division is responsible for handling calls for service. It administers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program. The department maintains the West Essex Domestic Violence Response team. The Cedar Grove Police Department is governed by the Township of Cedar Grove in New Jersey.
