Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens is a nonprofit organization, and is located in Cedar Bluff, Va. It receives federal, state and local funds to provide assistance with home-and community-based programs and services. It provides various services and programs, including adult day care, caregiver support, respite care, home delivered meals, homemaker services, personal care programs and emergency home repair services. It coordinates and advocates a wide range of services to meet the needs of older adults. It helps seniors to improve health and quality of life independently in their own homes and to support families. It additionally provides transportation services to go to the doctor, grocery store and post office. Appalachian Agency also provides counseling and assistance services regarding Medicare and Medicaid.
