Worth the trip from Amherst. We go every year.

Burdick's is a great place to pick blueberries. I have been going there for over 40 years and still look forward to doing it again every year! The berries are large, sweet and delicious. They're easy to pick since the bushes are 4 or 5 feet tall and close together in rows. The fields are well cared for and you are directed to the best bushes to pick from. When finished, you will be picked up by a "surrey with the fringe on top" (a pick-up truck with benches on either side) and brought to the weighing stations. Luckily for me, they don't weigh me before and after picking! Blueberry recipes are available in their brochures as well as other vegetables and flowers. It's an experience you'll truly enjoy and anxiously await in anticipation each year!
