This place don't deserve 1 star! Filthy. Dirty. Place,,the poor seniors all soiled and. It's so troubling to watch them..I have a family member there. The conditions are terrible, , food ,,staff!!! Terrible,, ,I really hope the board of health gets in this place and gets it up to standards!!!
At first I was ready to take my dad home the next day. But it turned out he was on the wrong floor! His diagnosis includes dementia, but he is no where near needing to be placed in a dementia care unit (thankfully). When he was moved into his proper room on the rehab floor, I found out what kind of place the Pines REALLY is... Amazing. Simply wonderful and I am not kidding. The staff makes eye contact as you walk through the halls, they are courteous and attentive and always answer my questions promptly. They treat the other patients well, as seen in the dining room where they serve the patients hand and foot, bringing them first their choice of juice or water in lovely goblets, then the entree and the next course, dessert. I personally recommend the Pines for rehab. My dad is doing well. The PT, OT and Speech are all exemplary therapists. I think it's also the atmosphere there. I find it very uplifting and bright. In comparison: Brentwood Manor Old Tappan, NJ, no where near as nice!
