Dr Beurger was very helpful for my dog Bailey who is not always the easiest dog to get along with. He got down on the floor with Bailey and rubbed his tummy and he talked to Bailey during the exam. Bailey liked that. My vet couldn't get a handle on Bailey's skin problems so she sent me to Dr. Beurger. My vet thought Bailey had allergies and would need allergy testing, but Dr. Beurger did some tests and found out that it wasn't allergies. Turns out Bailey had something else called sebcious adenitis and he also had a resistant staff infection due to MRSA. The treatments helped alot, and most of his hair has come back. He doesn't smell anymore and the scratching is gone. Dr. B was expensive (I spent $750 with all the tests and cultures and treatments), but I expected that with a specialist. I spent more than that with my regular vet on the problem over the last few months and didn't get anywhere. I love my regular vet, but I highly recommend Dr. Beurger for bad skin problems.

Dr. Buerger is a fantastic Vet who cares about the animals and has tremendous expertise. Our dog had an infected open wound caused from skin irritation due to a surgery. Our regular Vet had tried many times to cure the infection with multiple rounds of antibiotics and office visits. When she finally referred us to Dr. Buerger, he diagnosed the condition immediately and after a confirmatory test, prescribed the right antibiotic and Thyroid medication to treat the underlying skin condition. The wound healed quickly and the skin condition went away. Our dog's terrible shedding problem ceased, which was a godsend. Yes, Dr. Buerger's fees were expensive, but they were well worth it and less than we spent trying to get the infection cured through our normal Vet. Not to mention curing the underlying skin condition. If the infection had gone on much longer, it could have become life threatening. Specialists are always more expensive. As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for."
