Castro Valley High School operates under the Castro Valley Unified School District. It offers classes from grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 2,500 students every year. Castro Valley High School offers classes in various subjects, including visual and performing English, foreign languages, math, physical education, vocational and technical education, and visual and performing arts. The school has a fully stocked library that offers a range of online study resources, books, journals, newspapers and magazines. It organizes several athletic activities, including football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, golf, basketball, soccer, wrestling, baseball, softball, swimming and track. The Castro Valley Unified School District also operates other schools, such as Canyon Middle School, Chabot Elementary School and Creekside Middle School.
