Douglas County Libraries is a network of public libraries that stocks a range of books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and additional research, as well as supplies access to downloadable digital content and commercial databases. It offers transportation, delivery and door-to-door book exchange services for homebound individuals. Douglas County Libraries is a recipient of the John Cotton Dana Award for library public relations by the American Library Association. With more than 165,000 library patrons, it circulates over 6.5 million items annually. The library offers a range of membership packages and online and telephone renewal services. Additionally, it maintains various book groups, such as Great Books Discussions, Book Club Express and Reading on the Web. Douglas County Libraries maintains a location in Castle Rock, Colo.
