General Info

Dr. Basak is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. She earned her MD and master's degree in biomedical sciences from Washington University, St. Louis, completed a dermatology residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and a fellowship for Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She trained under dermatologic, ENT and plastic surgeons to learn the advanced reconstruction techniques required. Dr. Basak finds satisfaction in curing skin cancers and providing aesthetic reconstructions for her patients. She has also been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented research internationally. She and her husband enjoy traveling and concerts.
