Established in 1996, management has focused the growth of the company on providing outsource drug development services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Specifically, the company operates subsidiary operations that provide nonclinical drug development, regulatory and drug development advisory services, project management capabilities and investment banking services to emerging technology companies. Calvert Holdings is the parent company of Calvert Laboratories, Calvert Research Institute and Carolina Securities, all of which are focused on a variety of services, such as single- and multiple-dose toxicology evaluation, safety pharmacology and pharmacokinetic studies, immunology assays, biological and synthetic chemistry analysis, immunology assays, product formulation and development, compound synthesis and fermentation and clinical trial product manufacturing.
