I scheduled my son's first dental appointment for when he turned 12 months old. The appointment was scheduled months in advance. When I got there, the waiting room was so full that there was no where to sit. There were at least 10 children with their parents in that room.I asked the receptionist how long the wait was going to be. She stated, "Not very long". The impression that she gave me was that the wait would be just a couple of minutes.We finally were called back, with a few other children at the same time, after about 45 minutes of waiting. When we get to the back there are still several children in there that were called earlier, still waiting to be seen.We were finally called over to see the dental assistant after waiting another 30 minutes. This lady informs us that my 12 month old son should not eat for 30 minutes after they clean his teeth.It was time for him to eat. We were not anticipating to wait 1 1/2 hours to see the dentist.
