I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Bridge in Carrollton! The curriculum is both structured and effective, and our twin boys have simply thrived under the careful attention of their excellent teachers, Mrs. Whitney and Mrs. Elizabeth. The Center itself is beautiful - vibrant fish tank at the reception desk, a flat screen television in the lobby area that flashes up-to-date photos of the children engaging in various learning activities - and even more importantly, the rooms are well organized and clean. The Center recently invested in a state-of-the-art machine that steam cleans toys, and the teachers emphasize the importance of both health and hygiene to the children. Our little ones love going to school each day, and we're delighted to be able to provide them with the best possible education.
Sometimes I have seen the staffing issues raised by the previous post. More often than not, however, I find the front desk staffed by a full- or part-time staff member. Additionally, I find the facility a clean and nurturing place for young children who attend full time. My oldest has attended their after-school program for two years and is always given some activities to do. The only drawback I can think of for this facility is price. They are certainly on the high end of the scale.
There is a lack of communication between parents and the front office as well as a lack of communication between the classrooms and the front office. Concerns or complaints brought to the front office are not handled with sensitivity or compassion for the children and are not dealt with effectively. The front desk rarely has staff present when we have dropped off or pick up our child. I recently found on the Department of Human Resources page where the center was cited for an unauthorized person picking up children and the center not knowing that the children had left. I am not comfortable that the issue has been fully resolved, as the presence of staff at the front desk is often non existent, or when present, the staff does not know the parents or the children?s names.
