I recently brought my mom’s 13-year-old poodle to see Dr. Baxter, fearing she was going blind and nearing the end of her life. The poor dog had a severe infection in her eyes and nose and couldn’t see to walk. I anticipated a hefty bill, but to my surprise, Dr. Baxter prescribed an antibiotic and eye drops, and everything cleared up quickly. The total cost was less than $100! Dr. Baxter’s care for our pets and our wallets is evident. She avoids recommending unnecessary expensive tests unless absolutely necessary. I highly recommend her for anyone seeking a compassionate and practical vet.

Took our dog Roscoe to see very after a referral from neighbor and we were not sure why he was whimpering ....thinking the worst but instead of rolling in with ways to rack up she said he has a strained neck and I explained that the flea medicine I paid from buying at pet store didn't seem to work she not only seen my pet but gave him 2 prescriptions one for pain one for fleas all for 76.00 rather than our reg vet who charges us 100 to walk thru the door. She was wonderful.

Awful lack of service and did NOTHING to help my ailing pet Only to help her wallet. Almost 5 hours after arriving they had not taken time to give her pain meds for broken pelvis or leg, or even to have bothered to take X-rays!

Do not use this vet, she is so uncaring to your pet. She kept my yorkie for 24 hours, let him go home with renal failure, but told me his blood work was fine, keep him on antibotics for a week and come back. She was going on vacation and could not be bothered with my baby. First impressions mean a lot, do not know why I went back to her, was just so desperate for some kind of help for my baby, unfortunately, he suffered needlessly because of her, I lost him June 30, 2012. He was eleven years old, way too soon to lose him. I know that renal failure is 9 out of 10 times irreversible, but don't lie to me, just tell me what to expect. Please, if you care for your baby as I did, do not use this vet. If she does not like you, then she does not like your baby, obvious from the out come of my baby.

Dr. Baxter is a vet who cares about the animal, and your time. When you call the staff is friendly and the place is very homey. Need a good Vet? Here is the 1st choice.

Dr. Baxter is a caring, ethical professional who is truly concerned about the welfare of animals. She works well with clients to insure the best care for their pets. Dr. Baxter has volunteered many hours with nonprofit organizations in the area, using her knowledge and skills to protect and promote animal health and safety.
