Carroll Electric Membership Corporation is a nonprofit electric utility company. CEMC serves the rural areas of West Georgia including Carroll, Floyd, Haralson, Heard, Paulding, Polk and Troup counties. The company provides services to several customer sectors, including residential, commercial, farm and builders. CEMC has an active community participation program in schools, charitable organizations, civic events, scholarships and business development initiatives. The company also offers many online services including online bill pay ,service startups and 24-hour seven day a week emergency outage assistance. The company was formed in 1936 and provides electrical services to more than 50,000 homes.
